I just installed Simple Adblock, and I am very pleased with how it works. I have one question though, when I install it I am asked if i wish to add privacy protection, which should protect my surfing on the Internet as explained on their FAQ: http://simple-adblock.com/faq/#PRIVACY_FILTERS

Is it a good thing to add these filters? From their FAQ it seems evident that I should, but I would like a second opinion.

You can use the basic protection for adblocking. The additional option is there just to get them more money. I don't say it's bad, but you can browse normally with the basic options provided by the application. Alternatively, install an anti-malware application through the database and you should be OK.
